Derek was nominated by his Frat Brothers to compete in the Mr. Greek pageant. "The Mr. Greek pageant is a philanthropic event every year held by the lovely ladies of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at the University of Washington. This year, Alpha Gamma Delta hopes to raise a large sum of money to help the Treehouse Foundation, which benefits foster children of the greater Seattle area." The performances are humorous. It starts off with a dance performed by all Greek nominee's. Derek plays piano and sings a song "Inside of You" from the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". Mr. Greek Congratulations to Derek! He's been accepted into the University of Washington . .Yes that's right. He's a HUSKY! Derek was going to do the dorms, however, he was accepted into Alpha Sigma Phi. There are 64 other young men in the fraternity - he is enjoying it so far. Derek is possibly going to major in Political Science.
Congratulations to Melanie! This summer in Spokane, she placed 3rd in Regionals for the Heptathalon (7 events; 100 meter hurdles, 200 meter run, 800 meter run, high jump, long jump, javelin, shot put) Congratulations to Melanie! She is on her way to the State Championships for Track and Field. She is in two events this year. High Jump and Triple Long Jump. She has also been awarded SPSL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR!!
